Tennessee State University quarterback Patrick Mahome has thrown for over 1,100 yards and 16 touchdowns in three seasons, including an incredible 10-game run in 2016.
Mahomes, a redshirt freshman, has completed 73.9 percent of his passes for 2,038 yards and 21 touchdowns, which is the third-highest completion percentage in college football history.
Mahome is also one of just three QBs in the country to rush for 1,000 yards in a season (Mark Sanchez in 2016 and Johnny Manziel in 2017).
Mahomes’ 2,000-yard season ranks second-most in school history.
A Heisman Trophy candidate last season, Mahomes also rushed for more than 1,500 yards.
Mahomedos’ two interceptions, which were also career highs, also set Tennessee State records.
Mahomys passer rating is 92.9, fourth-highest in the nation, and his touchdown percentage of 51.5, is fourth-best in school annal history.
This season, he is one of three QB in school record for career rushing touchdowns with eight.
Mahomo has been named first-team All-SEC and first-Team All-American, first-round NFL Draft pick, All-Conference USA, All and MAC Offensive Player of the Year and a first-time All-Big Ten honoree.
His 247Sports Composite ranking is currently at No. 5 in the 2019 class.
