AUSTIN, Texas – AUSTin, Texas (AP) Kansas State basketball has won its second game in the season and advanced to the Sweet 16 for the first time in program history.
The Jayhawks, who are undefeated, improved to 11-0 with a 92-70 victory over Texas State on Tuesday night.
Jayhawks freshman De’Aaron Fox had 20 points and 11 rebounds.
Jameel McKay added 14 points for Kansas State.
Freshman Kenny Wiggins had 13 points and eight rebounds.
The Jayhawks have won 13 of their last 14 games and are 11-1 in the Big 12 Conference.
The Big 12 tournament will be held at the BB&T Center in Houston, Texas, next weekend.
The Golden Eagles are 19-0 against the Jayhawks and have won five of their past six games.
The Wildcats have been without leading scorer and scorer of the year scorer Kameron Johnson.
Johnson left the game early with an injury and did not return.
